This is a pure Australian alpaca hand-crafted classic double-knit brim beanie. The double-knit brim ensures a snug fit around your head and, being alpaca, will not irritate your skin. The colours are all natural alpaca fleeces.
This beanie was hand knitted from home-spun sustainable alpaca yarn. A double-knit brim adds additional warmth and fits snuggly around your head. By using a Navaho plying technique I was able to make three-ply yarn from a mixture of different alpaca fleece colours. So this beanie is unique to Tin Dragon Alpaca Fibre!
The beanie is a medium fit, measuring 54 to 56 cm head circumference and 28cm brim to crown. There is also a small-fit beanie that is 45 to 52 (stretched) had circumference and 21cm from brim to crown,
The fibre was grown & processed here at Tin Dragon Alpaca Fibre (Australian Fibre Collective licensee: 0018).
Care Instructions: To avoid felting the beanie you should hand wash it in cool to warm water in a mild detergent or wool-wash. Then allow the beanie to dry flat and do not wring it dry. You can easily remove (then replace) the leather Brand tag if you need to.
